HSC Assistant Head Coach appointment

Dear parents and swimmers

I am pleased to advise that Damien Bryan will be joining the Club on 1st July 2018 in the role of Assistant Head Coach, working alongside Matt until the end of the season and then taking up the full responsibilities of the role in August.

In his new role he will be the Lead Coach for the Elite 2 and Development 1 squads and will also be working across the Club with other squads and Coaches. Damien brings a wealth of experience to the Club including his current work with London Region as the Lead Coach on all swimming talent development camps (pool and open water) and Club Development Officer and also his Swim England Open Water experience as Head Coach. Most recently Damien was the Head Coach at Kingston Royals SC coaching their Elite Performance Squad including National Qualifiers for 2013 -2018.

Damien is a Level 3 Coach and Level 2 Teacher.

We look forward to welcoming Damien to the Club and you will see him at the different sessions over the next few weeks as he works with John and Matt.

Reading Meet June 2018 - Review

The weekend of the 9th/10th of June saw the Elite 3 swimmers racing at the Reading Meet. Having almost every member of the squad in attendance lead to a great buzz on poolside from the off which continued through-out the weekend. With the large number of Hillingdon swimmers attending the meet it often caused some Hillingdon filled heats, allowing a lot of the swimmers to race each other. This built upon the positive racing environment that could be seen on the weekend. The most positive aspect of the weekend was the variety of events being swum by swimmers who often wouldn’t have chosen to race such events, the 200m fly being a particularly tough event which was taken on by a number of the Elite swimmers. This led to swimmers gaining some fantastic race experience on a large variety of different events.

Club Champs - Thankyou

Well done to everyone who competed in today's Club Champs.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who supported the event and a special mention to the Officials.

Great job by a great team.

Congratulations to Rob Fletcher

Congratulations to Rob Fletcher and Sean Oliver who have passed their assessments this weekend as J1 and J2 Officials respectively.

Well done!

Enfield Junior Open Meet June2018 Review

The gala was a great day overall. Started off with the right mindset with a group poolside warm up, the swimmers implementing what they have learned in training on race day, which is what all the coaches want to see. This is evident in the pool as well, as the coaches noted a significant increase in technique standard across all the squads that competed.  There was outstanding enthusiasm from all the swimmers, Hilligdon having by far the biggest vocal support (which was noted by the announcers of the gala) and even an eagerness to help the coaches in any way they could.

Special shout out to Zabel Ebohon for being top girl at the meet with a gold medal in all the events that took place at the gala.

All medal winners from the day
Zabel Ebohon, Isabelle Stone, Crosby Beran, Zara Mohamedali, Diya Kohli, Liam Treanor, Max Kopzyck, Joshua Chirita, Tara De Jager, Bailey Sapsed, Benjamin Kustrin, Harry Bowley, Antonio Mo and Cassandra Struc

Well done all swimmers and thanks for all the officials who help and supported the event!!
